Wooden Soap Dish

The Wooden Soap Dish is uniquely designed and crafted to keep your soap lasting longer, by keeping it dry after each use. All-natural, highly moisturizing soaps made of skin rejuvenating properties like pure olive oil are best kept on a dish for a preferred consistency. Place your Dish next to the kitchen sink, bathroom sink, or next to the tub.

Sitti Soap dishes are made by Hassan, a carpenter in the Jerash Camp Rehabilitation Center's woodworking shop, where he cuts, sands and finishes each of our Wooden Soap Dishes. He is also deaf. However, his inability to hear does not undermine his passion and dedication to his craft. We are incredibly grateful for Hassan and for the other members of our Sitti Soap community who bring their unique talents and determination to work each and every day.

The pine wood is a light raw wood and our Oak wood is a more luxurious heavier wood.  

PLEASE NOTE:

The soap dish you’ve purchased is handmade from beautiful, locally-sourced pine and oak in Jordan. Each dish features carved slits, designed to quickly drain water from soap bars, keeping your soap dry and longer lasting. These dishes are a one piece design with no nails or glue. 

We recommend using two dishes, in order to change them out every few weeks. Changing out your soap dish regularly allows for a natural drying process to occur, and will help prevent any mold and mildew from forming. 

In the long run this will greatly extend the life of your soap dishes, as it has for ours!  

Additionally, it is important to use a mild, all-natural cleaning solution every 2-3 weeks to keep your dish clean and free of mold and mildew. It’s important to remember that just because its job is to hold your soap, doesn’t mean that it will stay clean.
